Treasure Coast Community Action AgencyThe Treasure Coast Community Action Agency's mission is to partner with other human services organizations, the private sector and citizens to offer programs and services that build self-reliant individuals, families and communities. The Treasure Coast Community Action Agency Advisory Board consists of three members from Okeechobee, Martin and St. Lucie County along with staff members and meets on a quarterly basis to oversee the programs and budget for the tri-county area served. Members represent the business community, social services, and low income sector for each county.

The State of Florida Department of Community Affairs receives funds from the federal government and distributes them to Community Action Agencies throughout the state. St Lucie County is designated as the eligible entity to receive Community Services Block Grant funds for this 3 county agency. CSBG funds are designed to provide a range of services to assist low income people in attaining the skills knowledge and the motivation necessary to achieve self sufficiency. Types of assistance include, but are not limited to: transportation assistance, nutrition program, emergency food and housing, and homeless prevention programs.
