Transportation
Perhaps one of the things that makes St Lucie County so attractive as a place to do business is the happy confluence of multiple transportation options. The crossroads of Interstate 95, the Florida Turnpike and State Road 70 is just the most obvious component of the highly accessible and completely uncongested transportation network. This transportation convergence is particularly important because St. Lucie County is within 150 miles of 85 precent of the State’s population.
In addition to the State highway system, the County also has an excellent internal road network, a growing transit system, an international airport, deep-water sea port, and is serviced by the Florida East Coast Railroad.
The St. Lucie County International Airport is a U.S. custom-serviced general aviation facility. There are also 3 general aviation and two commercial airports within 60 miles as well as two deep-water ports all of which enable easy access to all St. Lucie County has to offer.
The St. Lucie County International Airport is also one of the busiest general aviation airports in the state. A wide range of commercial flight options are also available using the Palm Beach International Airport, Melbourne International Airport and Orlando International Airport. And Foreign Trade Zone #218 has four sites throughout the county.
