PSL Civic Center Hosts Hurricane Expo June 1

Don't miss the Port St. Lucie Hurricane Expo Saturday, June 1 at the PSL Civic Center.
 The 7th Annual Hurricane Preparedness Expo is scheduled for Saturday, June 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Port St. Lucie Civic Center. Last year's expo drew more than 2,000 visitors, and this year's expo promises to be bigger and better than ever:
  • Steve Weagle, Chief Meteorologist with WPTV Channel 5 News, will be a guest speaker
  • Florida Division of Emergency Management and Florida's Foundation will present a free Wind Mitigation Workshop from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
  • Browse a variety of vendor booths where you can learn more about how to be safe during the upcoming hurricane season
  • Representatives from many government agencies will be available to answer questions about safety and preparedness
  • St. Lucie County Humane Society and Port St. Lucie Animal Control will be available for low cost pet vaccinations and licensing
  • Find out what the City of Port St. Lucie and other agencies are doing to prepare this year
  • Get your copy of the latest edition of the city's free hurricane preparedness quick reference guide
  • Sign up for free services that are available from government and non-profit agencies

Admission and parking are free.

All residents are encouraged to bring their families out to this great event to see what it takes to be prepared for this hurricane season. Every year, new products and services are introduced that may make you and your family even safer this storm season.
