Florida Memory
Florida Memory is an outreach tool for the Florida Department of State's Division of Library and Information Services. Florida Memory houses photographs and documents related to almost every city, town or county in Florida, from Alachua to Zephyrhills.

Highwaymen
The Highwaymen were a group of 15 self-taught African American painters from Fort Pierce. In the 1950s and 60s they worked their way out of poverty by painting upwards of 50,000 stylistic Florida landscapes and selling them all over the state from the backs of their cars. Their paintings (characterized as motel art) celebrated a picture postcard image of natural Florida, a dream of how Floridians wanted to see their state and how they wanted it to be seen by others.
