Thursday, October 27, 2011 - Lakewood Park Library Hosts Free AARP Driving Class For Veterans
To recognize and thank veterans for their dedication and commitment to service, the AARP Driver Safety Program is proud to offer a free classroom course to all veterans, regardless of age on Saturday, Nov. 12.The Lakewood Park Branch Library will be hosting a class on Saturday, Nov. 12 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., in the library’s meeting room. Veterans or spouses (including widows and widowers) must present valid military identification to be eligible to take the class for free. For those who are not veterans, the cost for materials for AARP members is $12. The cost for non-members is $14. Registration is required since enrollment is limited. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Though this class is designed for older drivers, there is no age restriction.
