Wednesday, December 28, 2011 - Lakewood Park Library Offers Wood Carving Workshop For Beginners

Joe Miller, an accomplished and award-winning wood carver, will be holding a three-session wood carving workshop for beginners at the Lakewood Park Branch Library on Wednesdays from 5:30 – 8 p.m., beginning Jan. 4.

Over the course of the three sessions (Jan. 4, 18 and 25), students will work on a project from beginning to completion. Wood will be provided by the instructor. Participants must wear a special carving glove to participate in the carving. If you do not have one, gloves will be available for purchase at the first class.

This series of classes is offered at no charge and is open to the public. The program will be held in the library meeting room.
