Thursday, March 29, 2012 - Extension Office Hosts Everything You Wanted To Know About Your Yard, But Were Afaird To Ask April 14
St. Lucie County's Cooperative Extension staff and Master Gardeners want to invite you to a free workshop on Saturday, April 14 to help you maintain your yard.Have you ever wondered: How much fertilizer should I apply? What’s the best fertilizer? How do I clean an irrigation head? How do I know if my plants are getting enough water? When is the best time to prune? How deep should the planting hole be? Or what is eating my Hibiscus?
Then join the St. Lucie County Extension staff for a learning adventure; where you will get upfront and personal with: Pruning trees and shrubs, fertilizing a landscape, planting trees and shrubs, identifying pests and how to manage them and maintaining an irrigation system. There will be five separate stations homeowners can visit, pruning, fertilizing, irrigation, planting and pests. The presentations will be repeated throughout the morning.
