Thursday, March 18, 2010 - County Announces Winners Of Video PSA Grant Program
St. Lucie County is pleased to announce that the United Way of St. Lucie County; the State of Florida Forestry Division - Port St. Lucie Office and Exchange Club CASTLE are the winners of the 2010 Video Public Service Announcement (PSA) Grant Program.The grant program was approved by the St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners to offer video production services for up to three local non-profits or government agencies based off scoring criteria that included the proposed project's impact on the community, clear goals for the PSA, the agency's need and stability as well as the creativity and potential of the project.
Thirteen different agencies submitted applications for the video production grant, which were reviewed and scored by a five-person committee made up of St. Lucie County staff.
The St. Lucie County Office of Media Relations staff will begin working on the production of the PSAs for the top three agencies this spring. The winners will receive up to 40 hours worth of staff time from the Office of Media Relations to create a video PSA up to 60-second in length. The winning agencies are responsible for the distribution and promotion of their winning PSAs.
