Wednesday, June 16, 2010 - Health Department Lifts Advisory For St. Lucie River

The St. Lucie County Health Department is lifting the precautionary notice regarding the North Fork of the St Lucie River.  Recent follow up sampling indicates that the enterococcus and fecal coliform readings have dropped significantly into the "Good" range for enterococcus and "Good" range for fecal coliform.

No significant levels of bacteria were found in routine samplings of St. Lucie beaches.
