Friday, October 15, 2010 - County 4-H Host Cattle Show Oct. 22-23 At Fairgrounds
The St. Lucie County 4-H is pleased to announce the 2nd Annual “St. Lucie County 4-H Beef Classic” prospect cattle show on Friday, Oct. 22 and Saturday, Oct. 23 at the St. Lucie County Fairgrounds.The Beef Classic organizational committee is expecting between 40-60 youth ages 8-18 from the four-county area and their show heifers, steers and bulls to attend the show. The show begins with showmanship classes on Friday, Oct. 22 at 6 p.m. The show continues on Saturday, Oct. 23 with the cattle classes at 10 a.m.
The public is welcome attend and admission is free.
Winners of the showmanship classes will be awarded trophy belt buckles. Winners of the steer, heifer and bull classes could win prize money up to $250.
All proceeds from the 4-H Beef Classic benefit the St Lucie County 4-H Foundation scholarship fund.
The St. Lucie County Fairgrounds is located at 15601 West Midway Road, Fort Pierce.
