Thursday, January 26, 2011 - Oxbow Gets Tangled Up In Art Feb. 5

Join the Oxbow Eco-Center on Saturday, Feb. 5 from 10 a.m. - noon as it teams up with the Treasure Coast Art Association to present a Tangle Time art class.

This fun, nature-inspired class explores the art of ‘Zentangling,’ a structured form of doodling that uses repetitive and contained patterns within larger works of art. It got its name from the sense of centeredness and well-being it tends to inspire while practicing this art form.

Don’t consider yourself an artist? Well don’t give up yet, because Zentangling may just be the art form that helps you release your creative spirit.

This program is appropriate for ages 10 and up.  The cost is $20 per participant, which includes all supplies. Reservations are a must.  For more information, contact the Oxbow at 772-785-5833, or send an email to oxbow@stlucieco.org, or visit www.oxboweco.com

The Oxbow Eco-Center is a St. Lucie County Environmental Learning Center located at 5400 N.E. St. James Drive, Port St. Lucie on 225 acres along the St. Lucie River.
